Hot! T-Mobile Finally Gets the iPhone


During T-Mobile’s press event in New York City today they announced many changes that will be coming to the company but the most popular one was the iPhone finally making its way to the number four mobile carrier in the US.

The iPhone will be available for T-Mobile users as soon as April 12th. Customers will be able to buy the phone for a mere $100 and enroll in one of T-Mobile’s new contract-free plans. Customers would pay an extra $20 a month for the next two years to pay off the device but they will not be contractually obligated. T-Mobile has stated that it is simplifying the mobile buying process without obligating its customers to sign up to long term contracts.

T-Mobile has also announced that it is rolling out its first set of LTE networks to¬†Baltimore, Houston, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Phoenix, San Jose and Washington D.C. T-Mobile already has a huge HSPA+ network that has LTE-like speeds. This will give it’s users fast and reliable connections even in areas that do not support LTE.

T-Mobile’s simple plan will start at just $50 a month and will offer unlimited talk, text and 500MB of data. For the power users you can pay $60 a month for 2GB of data and $70 for unlimited data.

This new contract-free plans are sure to grab some attention and finally give T-Mobile the pushing edge it needs to compete with the other mobile carriers.
